Question #1: Is this an All Inclusive price? What additional fees apply?
Many transportation companies list their retail value online and then add fees such as fuel charge, airport fee and gratuity on when the accounting department goes to close the trip out after the client has been dropped off. Transparency is key and knowing to ask whether the fees are inclusive or a la carte could save some confusion at the end of the trip.
Question #2: How many bags fit in the vehicle?
It is essential to let the customer service representative know if you will have luggage with you and how many bags there will be. This fact is especially important when going to and from the airport. Without the knowledge that extra space is needed, a vehicle could be booked that cannot accommodate for clients and luggage. A vehicle could say capacity of two people- who normally book a Sedan- but the reality is that vehicle cannot accommodate that much room. Let the person booking your travel know ahead of time to ensure the correct vehicle is sent when they pick you up.
Question #3: Do you have an address location for pick up and drop off?
It is essential to give a verifiable address to your transportation company when booking your travel for obvious reasons. Less thought out is the drop off location. Often, our clients book what we call “As Directed” transportation which makes the trip fluid and easy. We always want to have as much information as possible and if the begin and end locations are somewhat set, any extra mileage fees outside the preferred distance (for example: 30 miles from Downtown Nashville) will be avoided.
Question #4: Who is authorized to sign for the trip?
Without specification, the person who is the main passenger for the day will be the person handed the bill at the end of the trip. The person booking the travel should designate who is authorized to sign for the trip so the chauffeur not only has their exact directions but they can also discuss with one or two points of contact. There should always be a cell phone number included for the main passenger upon booking.
Question #5: What kinds of amenities are offered?
The amenities offered at a company like Grand Avenue are fairly extensive and therefore, not all of them are available online.
