Your options range from enjoying great outdoor music to spending time with the kids at the zoo. You simply need a guide who knows what entertaining things you can enjoy this Labor Day weekend in the Music City.

As such, we have compiled a list of five best things to do in Nashville this Labor Day. Let’s jump right in.

Live on the Green’s Music Festival

This is an outdoor music festival that allows emerging local artists to showcase their talent. It also features famous national acts such as The Foxies, the X Ambassadors. Some local artists that’ll be performing at the music festival include Larkin Poe, Natalie Prass, Paul McDonald, among others.

Another fun event that will be taking place at the Live on Green is Kids’ Fest. This event is expected to feature a photo booth, local vendors, and of course, live music.

The music festival takes place at Public Square Park and admission is free. However, you may have to pay between $80 and $150 to get a VIP ticket.

Sixth Annual Labor Day Parade

This parade involves the local unions in Nashville and serves as an opportunity to celebrate their solidarity. Some of the unions that are expected to be marching at this event include:

  • Nashville’s Trade Union
  • Central Labor Council
  • Middle Tennessee Jobs
  • Tennessee AFL-CIO Labor Council

After the march, there’ll be a celebration where individuals in attendance can enjoy a free hamburger. In addition to this, there is a splash pad, playing area and bouncy castle for the kids. The event won’t be complete without live music. The Sixth Annual Labor Day parade takes place at Cumberland Park and the admission is free.

Mud Run Nashville

This is a military-style obstacle course that is expected to take place at the Tap Root Farm on Saturday. As the heading implies, it involves a lot of mud, water and a choice between a 3.1 miles obstacle course and 6.2-mile obstacle course.

You’ll be expected to dress for the event, in camouflage utility trousers and combat boots. Adult tickets range between $50 to $80, while children have to pay between $30 and $45.
