If you found your way here, you’re already game to show what you know and say what you love about the town at the top of everyone’s must-see list. That’s right, our very own Nashville is the favorite of America’s cultural commentators and economic development indicators – and for so many good reasons it’s hard to keep track.
But let’s give it a try, shall we?
Grand Avenue has launched ItCityNashville.com as a virtual nerve center for everyone in our city – The It City – to post photos of and brag about their favorite haunts, shops, businesses, neighborhoods, watering holes, views, attractions and new destinations in Nashville.
We’re calling it “My It City: Nashville’s Best Photo Contest,” and all residents, visitors, businesses and organizations are welcome to participate. Just follow a few simple steps:
Take a photo of yourself or anyone else in front of your favorite spot in The It City; make sure you or someone in the photo is holding the “My It City” contest card; and upload the photo to facebook.com/GrandAveLimo or email to TheItCity@gmail.com. Include a caption identifying your piece of The It City, and tell us a little more about it if you’d like. (For more details, see the October 5 blog post.)
Grand Avenue will choose a winning photo each month; the person who submits the pic will receive tickets to top Nashville attractions. October's winner will receive (drum roll) 2 tickets to The GRAMMY Nominations Concert at Bridgestone Arena on December 5. Talk about The It City at its best!
So go ahead. Join The It City conversation. Everyone else certainly is. Just last weekend, The Wall Street Journal became the latest major media player to weigh in on Nashville’s singular attractions, attributes and attitude. And tonight, ABC will launch its newest prime time dramatic series titled (what else?) “Nashville.” Click here for links to ink about The It City.
Remember, creativity is the core of the contest. Keep it clean but don’t hold back. Hit us with your best “shot” of you and your It City at its quirky, edgy, over-the-top best.
We’re getting the ball rolling today with a sample ad featuring Our It City – with a shot from Nashville’s storied Lower Broadway.
In our business, we go everywhere. As we like to say at Grand Avenue, “This city’s moving. That’s why we’re driving."
